THE PARK

Fascinating and fun

Dino Park is a theme park dedicated to the fabulous history of dinosaurs and is the largest open-air museum in Portugal. This dinosaur exhibition in Lisbon, in the Lourinhã area, allows you to see 200 full-scale, scientifically proven models of dinosaurs and other animals,divided in the most important periods of the earth’s history and the evolution of life, the 2019 opened Sea Monsters trail.

and the Newly opened (2023) Cenozoic – Ice Age trail.

At Dino Parque in Lourinhã, you will learn the history of the fantastic world and period of the dinosaurs and prehistoric animals, not only of their passage through Portugal, but all over the world.

A world to discover

Did you know that a nest with more than 100 dinosaur eggs was discovered in Lourinhã? And that the Tyrannosaurus Rex was around 15 metres long? Come and discover this and much more on a journey of millions of years in this open-air museum with plenty of dinosaurs waiting for you.

Learning is fun

This outdoor dinosaur exhibition is designed with an Edutainment concept. At Dino Parque you can have fun while learning about paleontology, fossilization, all types of dinosaurs, dinosaur eras and earth history, the species and much more.

TRACK

Palaeozoic

The Paleozoic Era began around 419 million years ago. Here you can discover the amazing animals that inhabited the earth before the appearance of the giant dinosaurs.

Triassic

It was during the Triassic period when the great kings of the Earth appeared. It was during this period that several types of dinosaurs first appeared.

Jurassic

Lourinhã is one of the richest areas in the world in terms of Jurassic remains. Here you can observe unique species. You can also see the Diplodocus Hallorum, which is about 45 metres long!

Cretaceous

It is in this period that you can find the most famous dinosaur species such as the T. Rex (Tyrannosaurus rex) and the Triceratops. It’s at the end of this period that the extinction of dinosaurs takes place.

In this trail you will be able to observe animals that ruled the lakes, seas and oceans from 450 million years ago until today.

Although much of this Era was quite warm, the last millions of years have ushered in one of the most important moments in the Earth’s history: the ice age.

Paleo Camp

The Paleo Camp is a recreational and educational space at Dino Parque dedicated to the younger ones where they can have an even more fun experience in the world of dinosaurs.
